Re: Pay no attention_
11/20Word to the wise, immortals may not be the best employers, I think maybe they are more prone to think of you as expendable, rather than a partner. Being a mortal, at least I think. damn Pure, what did he do to me? -

This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.
Re: Pay no attention_
11/21Last time you saw them, did you tell the Immortals that their bread is made up of the bodies of the Brutals that we have slaughtered?
They do breed like rats you know, and are rather tasty.
All for the glory of Zardoz! -

Re: Pay no attention_
11/28Whats wierd to me is that My issue of famous monsters of filmland magazine that profiled Zardoz in 73-74 featrued some nice set shots of some futuristic ovens that that very bread was cooked, in a filmn way, these shots didn't seem to end up in the final cut though?
Zardoz was as big as king kong back then......
there was a female brutal i recall, gwoing bout her bakin... was she in the movie?
Im an honorary jew, can I be an honorary Vortex manager?

Re: Pay no attention_
11/29There's a scene with the ovens; in the commentary on the DVD Boorman even talks about them some, admiring the apparent dissonance between futurism and antiquarianism in the visual tapestry. He's right, though - too many sci-fi movies contain images from only one time period, which is unrealistic. Old stuff and new stuff always coexists.
"theh poweh souwrce is, assumedly, something... quite advonced, yet... it's being used feh one of the ... the most *ancient* ... yuman activitehhs ... that one can engage in..."
Them ovens is prolly some of the more expensive props in the movie. -

Re: Pay no attention_
11/29I'm workin on the next Zardoz spinoff movie, the little exterminator, a disney animated musical with voice overs from Robin williams, and whoopie goldberg.
I have lost all sense of taste? Mabden will buy anything don't you know?
Money does grease the Ishtiokian empires wheels still.
